Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

This policy applies when you browse pages, read documentation, or use download links on the V2Ray for macOS website. The site provides client information and setup guides as a static website. It does not offer account registration or require visitors to provide an email address. Data handling by installed clients and download providers is outside the scope of this policy.

1. Data We Collect

When you visit a page, your browser sends requests to the website and its infrastructure. To serve pages, troubleshoot errors, and maintain the site, request logs may include your IP address, the time of access, requested paths, response status, and browser and operating system details. These are website access records, not records of a client’s network connections.

We use analytics to understand page views, referral sources, device types, and use of download links. If you switch download platforms, an analytics event identifying the selected platform may also be recorded. This data helps us improve documentation, identify broken links, and address compatibility issues. It does not confirm that a download completed or that a client was installed.

This site does not host subscriptions or let you upload node configurations. Do not submit subscription links, passwords, or other credentials in page URLs, query parameters, or feedback. You do not need to provide this information to read the guides.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

Depending on the deployment configuration, analytics may use cookies or similar browser identifiers to distinguish sessions and reduce duplicate counts. Local storage is separate from cookies. If a page saves local preferences, they are used only to remember interface choices—not subscription data.

Whether your browser actually stores this data depends on how the page loads and what appears in your browser’s site data list. Use your browser’s privacy settings to view, block, or clear this site’s cookies and data. Clearing them may reset saved preferences, and analytics may recognize your session again.

Blocking cookies does not prevent you from reading static documentation. Disabling JavaScript as well may prevent some navigation, platform switching, and dynamic download information from updating correctly. Browsers handle tracking restrictions differently, so this site does not describe these settings as a universally effective opt-out.

3. Download Sources and Third-Party Links

The download page provides links to installers for v2rayN, v2rayNG, and v2flyNG. Download details are retrieved through a same-origin resolver, which points to release sources or distribution services that provide the files. A link shown on this site does not mean the installer was developed here or that files are always delivered from this site’s servers.

When you start a download or open an external page, the destination may receive your IP address, request time, browser details, and referral information permitted by your browser. Its own policies govern how it handles that data. Check the destination and file type before continuing.

When running, a client may connect to a subscription provider or other network services. Refer to the client’s settings and the relevant service’s documentation for information about those connections, permissions, and data handling. This website’s analytics do not replace that information.

4. How Data Is Used and Your Choices

Access records and analytics are used to maintain the site, investigate issues, and improve content—not to build user profiles or serve personalized ads. Server logs and browser site data are stored by separate systems. Clearing browser data does not automatically delete server records already created.

This policy does not promise a fixed retention period that has not been verified. How long records are kept depends on hosting, logging, and analytics settings, and should be limited to what is needed for maintenance and troubleshooting. You can limit information sent on future visits by removing unnecessary query parameters, restricting browser storage, and managing download permissions.

5. Policy Updates and Further Information

If our analytics purposes, storage methods, or download delivery process change, we will update this page and revise the last-updated month at the top. Since this site does not collect registration emails, changes will be announced on this page rather than by individual email.

For help with downloads and setup, start with the user guide. For permission, system proxy, or connection issues, see the configuration FAQ. When describing an issue, share only the error details needed to explain it. Do not publish subscription URLs, credentials, or complete logs containing personal data.
